Linda Thompson (Miss Mid-south fair 1970 - photo) had originally travelled to Memphis to visit her friend from the beauty pageant, Miss Rhode Island, Jeanne LeMay Dumass who lived there. Linda was staying at her Aunt Betty's house. They were invited to go to the Memphian theatre and were introduced to Elvis. He sat beside her for the rest of the movie and during this time Elvis managed to get her aunt's phone number. He rang later at 4:00 am, where Linda's aunt couldn't believe it was Elvis on the phone. He asked Linda to come to Graceland tomorrow to meet his father.
