Vernon received a letter from the Stutz Motor Company who had examined the Stutz Blackhawk that was involved in a road accident last month. They valued the car as being a total wreck and classed it's usage as salvage only. They offered $1,000 for it as it had sentimental value as being the first Blackhawk Coupe delivered in the world.
