Sometime in early April, Elvis received a telephone call from his friend Denver Police Officer Ron Pietrafeso (photo) who thanked him for the good time he had in Las Vegas. Elvis told Ron about his glaucoma eye infection and that it was worse than the press had reported. He also spoke about the small earthquake that shook the hotel while he was performing there. Elvis with some pride also confirmed that he had earned his fourth degree Karate black belt.
