Most of this month and even part of December Elvis flew back and forth between Las Vegas and Palm Springs and Los Angeles. He took karate lessons from Ed Parker, and largely because of his contributions to the sport, Elvis received certificates of advancement in Kenpo.

Elvis returned to Las Vegas, and saw a Doctor. He was given antibiotic treatment and spent the next 5 weeks flying back and forth between Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Palm Springs.

RCA released another Elvis single that used material from the Memphis sessions. "Don't Cry Daddy"/"Rubberneckin'" (RCA 47-9768). The A-side a sad ballad, was recorded at American Sound. The B-side was also recorded at American, but used in his just released movie "Change of Habit". The front of the sleeve used a photo from the movie "NBC TV Special" and promoted his new double album "From Memphis to Vegas/From Vegas to Memphis" recently released by RCA and that "Change of Habit" was available in a theatre near you.
