Also by this time it was decided, with the success of the last sessions, that there would be a follow up session at American Studios. There had been arguments in the studio with Felton Jarvis and Chips Moman about publishing of the song "Suspicious Minds", which was owned by Moman. This was eventually sorted out, in Moman's favour. Still, there was a growing division between Felton Jarvis and Chips Moman, as Jarvis felt that Elvis was being taken away from him.

While he was in Las Vegas, the Colonel had arranged for Elvis to do a photo shoot with Alex Shoofey and Bill Miller to publicise

his future engagement at the new International Hotel, which was still being built. On a rough stage on the (still) construction site , Elvis signed a contract for publicity purposes. The actual contract would be signed on April 15, 1969. (video)
