Elvis' New Year's Eve party was held at TJ's, a new Memphis club, where Mark James performed his song "Suspicious Minds". Ronnie Milsap who played piano on "Kentucky Rain" was also present.

Elvis' accountants reported that in 1969 his personal income was $ 1,096,00 from motion pictures, $ 794,000 from music and recording and $ 150,000 from television. Personal appearances brought in another $ 401,000. His income taxes were $1,126,000.
