MARRIAGE VOWS - The Milton Prell Suite, The Aladdin Hotel, 3667 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada.
After midnight, on Monday morning, the wedding party (that consisted of family, George Klein, Harry Levitch and those
members of the entourage already in California) left for Las Vegas in two leased jets, and at 3:30 am Elvis and
Priscilla obtained a $15 marriage license at the Clark County Courthouse. The ceremony was held at approximately
11:45 am at the Aladdin Hotel in the second-floor suite of the Colonel's friend, owner Milton Prell, with Nevada Supreme Court Justice David Zenoff presiding and the Colonel in charge. Out of the entire entourage and their wives, only Joe Esposito and Marty Lacker, Elvis' two best men, were present, with everyone else told at the last minute by Colonel Parker's direction that there was no room for them at the ceremony."Our little girl is going to be a good wife," says Priscilla's father, Colonel Beaulieu. "I guess it was about time," declared Elvis, then he turned to his father. "Hey, Daddy, help me," he said. "I can't reach you, son," declared Vernon, smiling. "You just slipped through my fingers." "Remember," said the Colonel, "you can't end bachelorhood without getting married." At the reception afterwards all members of the entourage were present with the exception of Red West, who was furious at his and his wife Pat's exclusion from the ceremony.

A press conference was held in the Aladdin Room immediately after the ceremony, where reporters asked the wedding party questions.

Elvis and Priscilla visited the ranch but returned to Memphis in the evening to see Casino Royale at the newly refurbished Memphian Theatre. Throughout the summer Elvis' interest in the ranch waned, and he began to spend more and more time in Memphis, screening movies at least four times a week. According to Priscilla, it was during this time period that she persuaded Elvis to burn the books the Colonel had banned. One night at Graceland they dumped a large box filled with books and magazines into an abandoned well, poured gasoline over the pile, and "kissed the past goodbye."
