RCA issued their latest Elvis single on the Gold Standard Series: "Blue Christmas"/"Wooden Heart" (RCA 447-0720).
The last two Elvis singles contained three tracks that were recorded no later than 1960. "Blue Christmas" was picked to capitalise on the holiday season market and "Wooden Heart" was a smash hit as a single back in 1960 in other countries or in the U.S. for other artists. The front sleeve used a publicity shot from "Roustabout" and the rear sleeve had a very basic image of a wodden heart.
