Elvis reported to the studio for a music meeting at M.G.M. for his new picture, "Girl Happy", a Joe Pasternak production to

be directed by Boris Sagal. His latest movie deal meant that Elvis received $500,000 plus 50 percent of the profits on this

story about college students on spring break in Fort Lauderdale by the producer who back in 1957 had wanted to star Elvis in the first "beach movie," Gidget.
