1954

Elvis joined forces with guitarist, Scotty Moore and bass player, Bill Black and they made their first commercial record for Sam Phillips' Sun label in Memphis. By late 1954, they had a regular live act and eventually become regular members of the 'Louisiana Hayride' operating out of Shreveport. This was where they met and added drummer D.J. Fontana as a regular band member.
